YfEj benefits

YfEj offers various types of services to young jobseekers from EU28 countries + Iceland and Norway.

Any young jobseeker registered on EUJOB4EU Platform can benefit from YfEj services if:

  • he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria,
  • he/she has been pre-selected for a work placement though our services or through the recruitment services provided by the EURES Advisers members of our consortium, and if
  • all the conditions as specified in the “Your first EURES job Targeted mobility scheme – Jobseekers and Employers Guide” are met and approved.

 

Financial support to young people

YfEj financial support covers part of the costs borne by participants related to mobile work placement activities.

 

1. Interview trip to another EU28 country + Iceland and Norway

If you are invited for a job interview in another EU28 country + Iceland and Norway, you can request an allowance (flat rate) which will contribute to your travel and subsistence costs. The fixed amount is based on the distance between your place of residence and the interview location and a daily allowance for a maximum of five days.

2. Relocation allowance to another country

If you are recruited for a work placement in another EU28 country + Iceland and Norway, you can receive an allowance (flat rate) to help defray some of the travel and subsistence costs connected to your relocation in the new country. The fixed amount is based on the country of destination.

3. Language training

If you are pre-selected by one of the employer registered on our platform, we can cover part of the costs of a training course, provided previous authorisation by our staff. This support is provided on the basis of reimbursement of actual costs up to a maximum of EUR 2.000.

4. Recognition of your qualifications

If you are pre-selected by one of the employer registered on our platform, we can cover part of the costs you have to face for the recognition of your qualifications, provided previous authorisation by our staff. The allocation is a flat-rate of EUR 400.

5.Supplementary relocation allowance

Jobseekers with special needs (which can be related to health, socio-economic conditions or geographical factors) may apply also for a supplementary relocation allowance. This support is provided on the basis of reimbursement of actual or eligible declared costs up to a maximum of EUR 500.

6.Subsistence allowance for trainees and apprentices 

If you are a trainee and your remuneration is lower than the one foreseen for a worker performing the same task, you can request a subsistence allowance to compensate the salary (up to 600 euros), for a maximum duration of 3 months. This request will be based on a written information specifying the remuneration, including any possible fringe benefits provided to the candidate e.g. copy of the labour contract or written declaration by the employer.

Preparatory training

Besides the financial support described above, our services offer language or other basic training to enhance the candidates’ general competences and adaptability to the future work placement. Short-listed young jobseekers may participate in these training sessions.
